Frequently asked questions

Which cards does it recognize?+

TCG cards from the very first sets to the latest releases. It works best with modern cards, where the collector number is printed at the bottom left.

Where do the prices come from?+

From Cardmarket (European market, in euros) and TCGplayer (US market, in dollars). They're updated several times a day.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?+

No. The card's text is extracted in your browser. Only the detected name and number are sent to look up the card.

Where is my collection stored?+

In your CardAndScan account. It's available on the web and in the iPhone app, and the free plan keeps up to 70 unique cards.
